Detectives are investigating after the man was found injured in Armadale.
Police have said the death of a man who was found injured in West Lothian may have involved a firearm.
Detectives are investigating the death of the 35-year-old, who was found injured at a property on Harestanes Road, Armadale, shortly before midday on Saturday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
One line of inquiry is that his death may have involved a firearm.
Police are also investigating a car fire in nearby Netherhouses, which may be linked to the death of the 35-year-old.
Detective superintendent Michelle Findlay, of Police Scotland’s major investigations team, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died in this incident.
“Officers remain in the area and anyone with concerns or any information can approach them or call us on 101, quoting incident number 1361 of Saturday September 12.”
The deceased man’s next of kin have been informed.
No injuries were reported in relation to the car fire.
