Mr Burnham performed at an All My Friends event while Mayor of Greater Manchester in July 2024.

A video has been shared on TikTok – and has spread elsewhere on social media – showing what appears to be Prime Minister Andy Burnham on stage while music is playing.

The video was shared on July 21 with the caption: “You’re watching the current UK Prime Minister’s DJ set.”

Evaluation

This video was filmed in 2024, long before Mr Burnham became Prime Minister.

The facts

The posts do not say when the video was filmed and do not directly imply it was recorded recently. However the caption that it is the current Prime Minister’s DJ set” could easily be misunderstood.

The video depicts an event that happened in Manchester in July 2024.

The first clue for this is found by following the sign behind Mr Burnham on stage, which reads “all my friends”. A Google search for this with Mr Burnham’s name leads to an event that happened in 2024.

A listing for the event described it as: “All My Friends returns to Manchester for a night of indie, pop and rock on Friday 19th July, with Mayor of Greater Manchester ANDY BURNHAM our very special guest DJ for the evening.”

A different video posted by an Instagram account which advertised the event confirms this.

The account posted a a series of pictures and videos from the event, one of which shows the exact same moment that was captured in the video now being shared on TikTok.

The video has the same song playing, and Mr Burnham is performing similar movements. The video is filmed from behind Mr Burnham, by someone else on stage.

The person filming the video posted to Instagram appears to be visible behind Mr Burnham in the video posted to TikTok.
