The long-serving presenter will be best remembered for travel show Wish You Were Here…?

Globetrotting TV presenter Judith Chalmers was an early prototype of an influencer as she took viewers around the world with her show Wish You Were Here…?

Chalmers, who has died aged 90, was often seen on a sun lounger, strolling along a beach or meandering through a cobbled street in a beauty spot as she shared secrets of her destination with viewers who did not have to leave the comfort of their sofa.

She was one of the first stalwart female faces on the small screen as she made her way in the industry before finding the niche that would make her a household name with her travel show.
