“A Detail of Birds” is from David Kinloch’s latest collection, “Greengown”, published by Carcanet. Brought up in Glasgow, he is the author of six poetry collections, including “In Search of Dustie-Fute” (2017), shortlisted for the Saltire Prize. A former teacher of undergraduate French, David Kinloch is now Emeritus Professor of Poetry and Creative Writing at the University of Strathclyde. In 2022 he received a Cholmondeley Award
