The activists sprayed slogans and smashed windows at the Sentinel building on the city’s Waterloo Street.
A video has emerged showing pro-Palestinian activists vandalising the offices of an insurance firm in Glasgow over its alleged business links with Israel.
The footage shows three hooded and masked individuals smashing windows and spray-painting slogans on the Sentinel building on Waterloo Street, home to the Glasgow office of insurance firm Chubb.
It is understood the attack took place in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The video shows one of the activists spray-painting the words “Chubb insures genocide” and “drop Elbit” on two of the building’s glass panels before pulling a sledgehammer out of a backpack and using it to smash a number of panels.
At one point they also pull a red fire extinguisher from the backpack and use it to spray what looks like red paint onto the building.
The other two can be seen hitting the glass panels with smaller hammers.
At one point a security guard can be seen inside the building speaking on the phone and appearing to point away from the building.
Elbit Systems Ltd is an Israel-based international military technology company and defence contractor.
The incident comes after Chubb’s offices in London, Birmingham and Manchester were targeted earlier this year in similar attacks.
A spokesperson for the unnamed activists said: “Civilians in Palestine, Lebanon and Iran continue to be killed by the US and Israel, and those who profit continue with impunity.
“Chubb provides Elbit and UAV engines with employer liability insurance.”
UAV engines, which builds engines for unmanned aerial drones, is a subsidiary of Elbit Systems.
The spokesperson went on: “Our action today in Glasgow aims to disrupt Chubb Insurance’s operations, and expose their role in facilitating war crimes.”
They added that the group will “continue to target these companies until they drop their support for the Israeli death machine”.
