A one-year-old and a three-year-old died following the blaze in Wolverhampton on Friday evening.
A woman in her 30s arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of two children following a fatal house fire in Wolverhampton has been released on police bail.
Two boys aged one and three died following the blaze on Mason Street on Friday evening, West Midlands Police said.
Firefighters entered the property and rescued two young children, but they were pronounced dead at the scene, police added.
Two other children and a woman were already out of the house before emergency services arrived.
They were checked over by ambulance staff but did not need hospital treatment.
On Sunday, police said the woman had been released on police bail as investigations continue.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “A woman arrested following the fatal fire in Mason Street, Wolverhampton, on Friday evening has been released on police bail as investigations continue.
“A scene remains in place, and we would like to thank the local community for their patience and support at this difficult time.”
